Atlantean Qabb'Allah

                               Chapter VIII


    Back in that magical summer of Robitussin when I turned seventeen, two friends who I turned on (or "off" as I preferred to say) to cough syrup returned the favor in part by introducing me to the idea of Timothy Leary's 8 Circuits of Consciousness. While these dealt with supposedly hierarchical structures of the psyche, from complete attachment to the id, ego, territory, through to hedonism, morality and higher cosmic/spiritual mind states, I came to focus my own (mis)understanding of the Circuits of Consciousness solely on a widening aperture of Universal Mind achieved through a variety of drugs, to wit:

    1. Opiates
    2. Alcohol & sedatives
    3. Stimulants
    4. Weed
    5. Deliriants (everything from mandrake and belladonna, which I had never tried, to large doses of Benadryl, which I had)  
    6. 'shrooms
    7. Acid
    8. DXM (dextromethorphan hydrobromide, the active ingredient in Robitussin)

to which I added
    9. DMT

    even though I had never tried it and, as of this writing, still haven't (I was not aware at the time that Leary had expanded the 8 circuits to 12, correlating with the Zodiac, but thought I had intuited something novel.)
    A few years later I discovered the Cabbalistic Tree of Life (there's that term again,) the 10 Sephiroth or Divine Emanations by which the Heavenly Essence was refracted as it were in the facets of a crystal.



    I began to notice, other than the fact that the numbers started from the top, that it resembled those Circuits of Consciousness again...
    Agrippa further identified the Sephiroth as celestial orbits expanding from the orbit of Mercury outward.


    I tentatively started to map my 9 Circuits of Consciousness drug list over the Tree of Life


    Are all these worlds consecutive, with a top and bottom, and thus hierarchical or progressive in some way, with a goal, a purpose, a Supreme Deity manifesting Universal Mind perceiving Ultimate Truth; or does each level become the centre of its own cosmogony, never a final end---if not a new beginning, a new centre?

    My mind was cooked.
    You see those commercials in the 90s?
    "This is your brain..." 
    man I don't have mine runny at all...


So let us examine:

0

zero is not a number and belongs to a state that is unattainable to the living (and perhaps to the dead) beyond the unconscious or superconscious mind. We can call it "Death" or "Beyond" or "Nagual" but really we can't define it: as Anaximander said, two and a half millennia ago. Corresponds with "The Fool" in the Tarot. Pluto is not a planet.

Down the Rabbit Hole

 Chapter I     Like many now in this godless age, I grew up without religion. Aside from a couple of weddings or funerals I never stepped in a Church, and I didn't crack open a Bible until I was a teenager. I was always enthusiastic for Myth, Legend, Fantasy and Fairy Tales...that red mushroom spotted white was always lurking around---the Tchaikovsky sequence in Disney's Fantasia---pretty much every early Disney movie in fact, one of my favorites was in Alice in Wonderland, my mother used to read the book to me when I's a kid, & Through the Looking Glass ; later I would re-read it in highschool, inspired by Grace Slick---my Mom who tricked me into drinking cough syrup when I was young by calling it "lollipop syrup" which would come back to haunt me---and my favorite video game franchise, to this day (early on the morning of my 40th birthday I sip coffee, smoke a bowl of Jack Herer  and write this outline while waiting for my wife to get up so we can play eithe...
